The Venus Legacy™ Procedure
During your treatment sessions, you will relax comfortably in one of our treatment beds. A member of Dr. Nordberg 's staff will apply a gel to your skin that allows the applicator of the Venus Legacy™ to glide smoothly. Dr. Nordberg will then apply smooth and consistent movements over the surface of the skin to deliver thermal energy deep into the tissue. Many patients comment that the procedure feels like a massage, and we encourage patients to simply relax and enjoy themselves during treatment.
Treatments with the Venus Legacy™ do not involve any pain or discomfort, and patients are able to return to their daily routines immediately following a session. A typical treatment plan will involve anywhere between five and ten sessions, though Dr. Nordberg may recommend more or fewer sessions depending on the severity of your condition. Results are noticeable immediately, and the appearance of the treatment area may continue to improve for up to three months following your procedure. Treatment sessions can be completed in as little as 20 minutes for facial contouring, and approximately 40 minutes for other areas of the body.
